Cadbury Easter Maze

Ideaology was approached by Cadbury’s experiential marketing agency ‘Studio 23’ to create an Easter themed inflatable attraction for a multi city tour. They were looking to create a unique experience that would be very engaging, exciting but family focused, with real wow factor that must be able to handle large volumes and most of all very safe. This was a challenging brief; given the client’s aversion to any risk, as they are extremely health & safety conscious in every aspect of their business…and none more so when it’s a public event representing their brand at Easter involving families and children. Having carefully considered all the key requirements the idea of an inflatable maze emerged as the preferred concept. This idea satisfied all conditions. Once we had the concept locked down, the next challenge was to create a maze that was exciting, challenging and safe and could cater for all ages and stages – including people with disabilities. After a robust design process, a final design was approved and we were given the green light to proceed with production of the three maze modules and grand entranceway. We engaged our preferred supplier and provided them with full specifications, CAD models and print files. We also arranged for the custom Cadbury purple fabric to be produced with the PVC supplier and project manage the entire manufacturing process. We then arranged importation and delivery. All facets of the design were carefully considered to ensure every aspect of the brief was provided for. We also managed the production on a daily and at times hourly basis, to ensure the production of the units were to the highest possible standard. Stage two of the project was our engagement to activate the maze for Cadbury in Christchurch and Auckland. We were responsible for all aspects of the Easter Maze activation, which included liaising with City Councils to ensure all building regulations were satisfied, to risk assessment and bespoke health & safety policies for each activation. We also provided logistics, management and activation crew.
